Tom has served the local community in many areas. He initiated the Tennis Patrons of Greater Daytona Beach and worked with school officials to develop programs in local elementary schools. After serving as Director of the USTA District 16 and USPTA District 6, Tom received Florida’s Service Award. Tom is one of a handful of professionals in the nation certified as both a “Little Tennis” and a “Competitive Player” specialist. Tom and his wife Elena were blessed with a baby girl January 2000.

Tom began playing tennis when he was 11 years old in Greenbelt, Maryland and has worked for the City of Daytona Beach since 1993. As Director of the City Island Tennis Center, he developed many local junior and adult tennis players. Tom transferred to the Florida Tennis Center (FTC) in 2002 as the Head Tennis Professional. In March of 2009 Tom became the FTC's Manager.
